Our Services

Cleaning and Exams

Cleaning of your teeth is completed every six months by our hygienist. Any plaque and tartar is removed and then Dr. Parker completes a head and neck exam and oral cancer screening and checks for any cavities.

Restorations (fillings)

Amalgam (silver) or Composite (tooth colored)-most of the restorations completed in our office are tooth colored. However there are certain situations I will use amalgam and I will discuss it with you before I place it.

Digital X-rays

Low Exposure Rate-these x-rays are taken with a sensor similar to conventional x-rays, however, there is 70-80% less radiation and the images show up on our screen instantly.

Bleaching

Chairside trays with Opalescence Tooth Whitening Systems-Bleaching is completed with trays that you wear overnight. The process is started in our office and you are given the trays and bleach along with home care instructions to use at home.

Crowns

All Gold, Porcelain Fused to Metal, All Ceramic-Crowns are completed for teeth that have large fillings, that have had a root canal, or that are fractured. Crowns can be made of gold, porcelain or porcelain fused to a metal substructure.

Implant Crowns

Crowns that are make after an implant is placed.

Root Canals

Anterior teeth only (front teeth)-root canals are needed when the nerve of the tooth is infected. Some people experience pain or sensitivity when the nerve starts to die and for other people the only way they find out they need a root canal is if an x-ray is taken and signs of an infection are seen-they may have no pain at all. I only complete root canals on anterior, or front, teeth.

Bridges

All Ceramic or Porcelain Fused to Metal, 2–8 Units-bridges are similar to crowns. Bridges are made to replace a missing tooth. Other options for missing teeth may be implants or partials. Every situation is different and treatment plans will be discussed with each patient.

Oral Cancer Screening

A head and neck exam and oral cancer screening is completed at initial exam and after every cleaning. A visual exam is completed with the overhead light and on a yearly basis the VELscope exam is completed (see tab on home page).

Simple Extractions

There are times when it is necessary to extract a tooth. Simple extractions are completed in the office but if I feel a tooth is going to be difficult to remove I will refer you to an oral surgeon.
